So the Craziest thing happened, yesterday while I was getting ready to go out, I snagged my moms phone so I could listen to some tunes while I was getting ready. Well? I'm scrolling though my moms playlist and she has more hip hop on her phone then I've ever had in MY possession at one time. Apparently she is an avid listener of classics like Tupac? N.W.A? Eminem? 50 cent? I walked out of my house yesterday morning and she was listening to Salt n Peppa's SHOOP. I was quite impressed as she was mouthed the words as she dug in her garden.. Never in my life have I feel soo unhip! I remember when I was 18, standing at our sink doing dishes and watching my mom dance through the yard droppin moves I had never seen before to 69 BOYZ "when I dip you dip" My mother is the most thug woman that I know.
Well? my mom's playlist got me thinking? How does the music that we listen to define us? how does the music we listen to reflect who we really are? when I got home from my mission I immediately created a pandora account and am plugged in probably 5 hours a day. Brett Dennen, Jack Johnson, Ingred Mchaelson, Regina Spector, Jakob Dillon, Feist, Adele, Ray Lamontagne, Toxic Airborne Event, are the artists that are played the most. WHAT DO THESE PEOPLE HAVE IN COMMON!?!? what is in a playlist?

Um...you rock. Come back to Lubbock.
